Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart ‘will not reunite at Cannes’.
The pair both have films screening at the event, which is currently taking place in France. But the former couple will apparently not be taking the opportunity to reunite at the festival.
‘Kristen and Rob will not see each other at Cannes. Their films are screening far a part from each other. Rover and Map to the Stars screen May 18 and May 19 respectively,’ an insider told Hollywood Life. ‘Kristen’s Clouds of Sils Maria doesn’t screen until the end of the festival around May 24. Kristen is planning on attending even though she’s in the middle of filming.’
Since breaking up for good last year, both parties have been busy with their individual projects. According to Kristen, she has no specific career plan in place but she is enjoying the journey.
‘Dude, I have no idea what I’m doing, and that’s kind of how I love it,’ she told Marie Claire magazine in February. ‘I had no idea Twilight was going to be huge. Certain movies I’ve done I thought were going to be amazing did nothing. So it’s fun not having so much control.
It’s kind of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants lifestyle-it’s fun, but it’s scary as f**k.’
The actress goes to explain that she welcomes the fear, because it means she is constantly pushing herself. Kristen is adamant that she never wants to get too comfortable when it comes to picking projects.
‘If it’s not scary, it’s usually-you kind of have to step back and go, ‘You’re probably making this decision because it’s right on paper.’ But unless you get that irking fear, it’s not right,’ she said.
