By demanding JC, PTI itself got trapped: Hashmi

MULTAN
Veteran politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that with the establishment of judicial commission, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) itself got trapped as it did not possess any solid evidence of rigging in general elections.
Talking to the journalists here on Monday, he added that the commission would make decision on basis of solid evidence and the PTI lacked such solid proofs. He said that if additional ballot papers were published, they were sent to all constituencies. “The PTI also benefited from these ballots equally,” he asserted. Hashmi was of the opinion that the PTI would have to face rigging allegations too if this blame was put on the PML-N.
He said that Shah Mehmood Qureshi himself sought vote for Lion which indicated that there was a strong wave in favour of Rana Mehmoodul Hassan. He asked the residents of PP-196 to stamp PML-N’s electoral sign Lion on May 21, so that development projects could be launched in the area. “Shah Mehmood Qureshi won from NA-150 two years ago and the residents of constituency saw him now. It is also because of election campaign of Rana Abdul Jabbar. It proves that he loves rule and the public,” he maintained.
