The distribution of cattle under Punjab Chief Minister’s programme for welfare of poor widows from rural areas will go a long way in alleviation of poverty and will pave the way for raising living standard of people.

The programme has become a great success due to which poor widows now have been living a better life in rural areas.

PML-N MNA Ch Armughan Subhani stated this while addressing the participants of cattle distribution ceremony held at the ground of Govt Murray College Sialkot here on Monday.

Mr Subhani said that the PML-N government believed in practical steps instead of doing the politics of slogans, saying that the government was fulfilling all its promises made to people during election campaign.

He said that the agenda of the PML-N government was social welfare and development with the sole aim to bring about revolutionary changes in the life of people. He said that the government was committed to providing all basic facilities to people in rural areas at their doorsteps.

Ch Armughan Subhani said that the PML-N government’s effective policies would soon give an economical and political boost to the country. He revealed that the PML-N government was committed to early resolution of all inherited crisis on top priority under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, saying that only the PML-N possessed the capability to pull the country out from the prevailing energy crisis.

“Now, the PML-N will make Pakistan Asian Tiger by putting the country on the path to economic stability,” he resolved.

The MNA claimed that a new era of national development and prosperity had begun in the country under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and the world would soon see a developed Pakistan as the government was utilizing all national natural resources to develop the country.

Addressing the participants, Additional Punjab Livestock Secretary Sardar Ashiq Hussain Dogar disclosed that the Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Department would soon start Rescue 1122 like emergency health service 9211 across the province for providing better on call veterinary health services for the breeding of cattle.

On the occasion, Dr Asrar Hussain Ch, Director Communication & Extension Punjab said that the Punjab government would distribute as many as 18,000 cows, buffaloes and 36,000 goats and sheep among poor widows in rural areas across Punjab, saying that the distribution of cattle would be completed in Sialkot district till June 30, 2015.

Earlier, MNA Ch Armughan Subhani distributed 150 cows, buffaloes and 150 goats and sheep among 300 poor widows belonging to district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils.

MPA Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Livestock Gujranwala Regional Director Dr Ghulam Muhammad Gill, MLA-AJK Ch Muhammad Ishaq, Principal Govt Murray College Prof Javaid Akhtar Billah, local PML-N leaders Rana Arif Iqbal Harnah, Sufi Muhammad Ishaq and others were also present on the occasion.
