ATTOCK -The residents of Pindigheb Tehsil are facing numerous problems in obtaining land computerised record or while selling or purchasing land.
No proper system is available to redress the grievances of the residents. People hailing from different areas of Tehsil Pindigheb while talking to this scribe said that “Computerisation of land Record” was a good initiative of the Punjab government to get rid of Patwari mafia but because of some technical issues and lack of interest of the officials, people were facing problems, they claimed.
They said that there were numerous mistakes in Khevit and Khasra numbers which caused wastage of time and resources. They said that on the time of selling or purchasing land, there were different problems being faced and the worth mentioning problem was fixing value of the land.
They said that the officials concerned most of the time impose the same value and tax on barren and fertile lands or asked the individuals to wait until proper value was fixed.
Social worker Javed Akhtar while talking to this scribe said that he had come to Pindigheb Land Computerisation Record Office to get a barren land transferred in his name but the officials concerned told him to wait till the time value of the land was fixed or pay the tax as per the value of agricultural land.
He said that the tax value for agricultural land was almost double than the tax fixed for barren land so how one could pay double tax for a barren land.  He demanded the high ups concerned and the DCO to take notice of these problems.
