BU students display projects

islamabad - Bahria University Islamabad Campus organised Open House yesterday wherein final year students from departments of engineering, computer sciences and management sciences displayed their final year projects.

The event was held at the premises of Bahria University Islamabad. There were 102 projects from diverse engineering branches including software engineering, control systems, communication systems, embedded systems, robotics, radio communications and wireless communication. In addition, 32 entrepreneurial projects from the field of management were also displayed in the exhibition. The purpose of the event was to enable students to produce work as entrepreneurs and collaborate with the industry to cope with challenges of the economy.

It was a medium to give access to students to interact and collaborate with industry people as students need a platform on which they can play an active role in the development and progress of the country. This unsurpassed arrangement and renewal of industry linkage offers several benefits such as polishing of entrepreneurial skills and feedback on the success of the project.

This exhibition was held to identify the gaps to link industry with academia and build new capabilities to sustain our economy. It will also serve to enhance university’s collaborations with the industry.

The ceremony concluded with the awards presentation for the top 3 projects in each department.  Renowned companies from the national and multinational sector visited open house as a part of university’s ongoing academics-industry collaboration. The representatives appreciated the innovative projects designed by the students and conducted interviews for hiring fresh graduates of the university in their respective organisations.
