PPP says Ring Road scam exposed govt

ISLAMABAD   -  Pakistan People’s Party yesterday urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to quit amid the Ring Road scandal and allegations of government members’ involvement.

PPP Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said the party “demands resignation of ministers involved in Ring Road mega scandal” including PM Imran Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar and PM’s Advisor Shehzad Akbar.

Bukhari said that Imran Khan, a claimant to end corruption, had turned out to be a facilitator of the ‘growing corruption.’ “The people are right in questioning that why the ruler who declared ‘I will not spare anyone’ is sleeping? The present government has been completely exposed due to the mega scandals,” he added.

Bukhari said Imran Khan’s ‘darling’ was tainted by every major mega-scandal of corruption and plundering the pockets of the nation.

He said that with the resignation of Zulfi Bukhari, the reservations and fears of the opposition had proven true.

Nayyar Bukhari further said that the Prime Minister was unaware of the national issues and he was missing for the parliament.

“This incompetent government is standing on crutches which will soon fall under its own burden,” he maintained.
