OUR STAFF REPORTER OKARA - The Lahore High Court ordered Okara police to recover a married girl allegedly abducted by her parents. She had married a warden with her free will three year ago. Warden Humayon Rasheed, a resident of Peoples Colony OKara, married Maryum Khan in 2008 but they kept their marriage in secret. After disclosure of their marriage before Eidul Azha, the girls parents brought her back to Bamawala. Thereafter, they refused to send her back. Humayon moved the court for the recovery of his wife. Therefore, the LHC directed A Division police to produce the girl before the court after recovering the girl. However, District Police Officer Dr Abid Ali Raja directed the Inspector Aziz Cheema to recover the girl. He told the media that raids in this respect were being conducted expressed the hope that the girl would be recovered soon. On the other side, after meeting with the DPO, Humayon was also hopeful that the police would recover his wife. JUP leaders house attacked: Seven people barged into the house of the district general secretary of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan in Umer Block here, held his family members on gunpoint and threatened to set fire to his wife. Seven persons including Ghulam Rasul, Shahid, Imtiaz, Israr and Iqrar allegedly held at gunpoint the wife and children of JUP officeholder Shehzad Anjum Insari. After the local peoples interference, they fled. They also threatened to set his wife on fire. The A Division police have registered a case against the accused under Section 448-511-342/TP.
