OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Sunni Ittehad Council Chairman Sahibzada Fazle Karim alleged on Friday that the PML-N was using government machinery and public funds for its Sundays public meeting at Faisalabad. Answering a question at Aiwan-i-Waqt, he said the Punjab government employees had been directed to participate in the PML-N meeting to show it as a bigger crowd. He believed that the SICs public meeting to be held in the same city on November 24 would be bigger than the one to be organized by the PML-N. The gathering at the meeting would manifest the public support the SIC enjoyed, said the Sahibzada, who is also a member of the National Assembly from the Faisalabad district. He said the SIC was not afraid of Imran Khans Tehrik-i-Insaaf. But, he said, there were some parties which were afraid of the SIC. He alleged that SICs banners and posters in Faisalabad were being torn to pieces and the district administration was taking no action despite complaints. He was critical of the government for its failure to solve peoples problems. He said the Islamic system alone had the key to all problems. Sahibzada said peace in Karachi was not possible unless prejudices, political and religious extremism and land mafia were properly dealt with. He called for all due rights for the people of Balochistan. He opposed the governments move to promote trade ties with India, saying it would cost Pakistan very dearly. In his opinion Pakistan should establish ties with India unless the Kashmir dispute was settled to the satisfaction of the Kashmiri people. Muhammad Nawaz Kharl, Syed Muhammad Safdar Shah and Muhammad Ziaul Haq Naqshbandi were also present.
