OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE PML-Q while deciding to expose various mega scandals of the Punjab government phase-wise, has alleged that education department bought computers and laptops worth Rs. 7 billion without evolving a proper system to utilize the machines. Kamil Ali Agha, central secretary information PML-Q made the announcement regarding party plans to expose corruption of provincial government and made first allegation relating to education department while talking to the newsmen on Friday. He further alleged that the machines were bought just to receive kickbacks. Without naming the accused of the scandal, he maintained that mastermind of the computer and laptop purchase and accused of IT fraud in BISE was the same person. Kamil demanded of the provincial government to make public the details of the computer machines purchase without establishing proper computer labs and hiring teachers in the concerned faculty at public schools. He added that 70 percent of the computers have been stolen, while the remaining were not in functional position.
