KARACHI - As many as 4300 candidates appeared in pre-admission entry test for the bachelor degree programs announced by Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology Karachi for the academic year 2012-13 held on Sunday at Expo Center here.  The 1721 students had their first choice for Civil Engineering, 1284 for Electrical Engineering, 517 for Computer Engineering, 168 for Biomedical Engineering, 132 for Telecommunication Engineering and 478 for Computer Science.  Registrar of the University Shah Mahmood Hussain told that 5000 candidates had registered for 760 seats for admission in different disciplines. He said the interviews of candidates will be held on Monday.
