LAHORE – Senior Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister and Cabinet Committee on Muharramul Haram Arrangements Chairman Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa has directed the authorities concerned to remove the debris and fill the craters on the routes of processions within two days.
He issued these instructions during inspection of the routes of the processions and sittings on Sunday. Excise & Taxation Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, MNA Mian Marghoob Ahmad, MPAs Aajasam Sharif and Khawaja Imran Nazir and officials concerned accompanied him.
Khosa inspected the routes of mourners at Railway Station, Brandreth Road Bhaati Chowk, Karbala Ghame Shah, Secretariat, Purani Anarkali and Jain Mandir and gave instructions to the officers concerned present on the occasion. He directed Lahore commissioner and the CCPO to take written affidavit from the owners of the houses and commercial buildings surrounding the routes of processions to keep an eye on suspects.
He said that security arrangements should not be removed till the return of every person at the conclusion of the processions and Majalis and no leniency would be tolerated in this regard.

Khosa said that Army and Rangers authorities would remain alert and they could be called in. He said that CCTV cameras would be installed in processions and Majalis in every district. He said all people will ensure implementation of “Apna Maslik Choro, Na Dosre Ka Maslak Chero”. He said miscreants will not be tolerated and strict action would be taken against them without any discrimination.
He directed that the checklist should be implemented and asked the police officers present on the occasion to pay special attention sensitive areas.
