Lecture on relations between Pakistan, Japan

KARACHI (PR): Akira Ouchi, the Consul-General of Japan, delivered a lecture on “Bilateral Relations between Japan and Pakistan” to the students and faculty members of Muhammad Ali Jinnah University. Over 100 students from Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Sciences, Masters of Business Administration, Masters of Sciences and faculty members attended the lecture.

HBFCL catering housing needs of lower income group

KARACHI (PR): House Building Finance Company Ltd (HBFCL) is the only financial institution of the country, that catering the housing problems of those citizens who are neglected by the other financial institutions. This was said by the Managing Director House Building Finance Company Ltd S.A Sayef Hussain while addressing a Seminar the other day.

Sayef Hussain elaborated that during the last 60 years HBFCL has disbursed loans in excess of Rs 51.2 billion adding around 460 million housing units to the total number of residential houses. 

Vigil on Children’s Day

LAHORE (PR): Al Mustafa Welfare Society (Trust) will organise a public vigil in front of Lahore Press Club in connection with Universal Children’s Day here on Tuesday evening. This peaceful procession will start at 5.00 pm and children studying in Aabro Schools, an institution against child labour, will participate.

Cathay Pacific traffic figures

KARACHI (PR): Cathay Pacific Airways released combined Cathay Pacific and Dragonair traffic figures for October 2013 that show an increase in both passengers carried and passenger capacity, alongside a small year-on-year drop in cargo and mail tonnage. Cathay Pacific and Dragonair carried a total of 2,533,066 passengers in October.

The passenger load factor was up 3.2 percentage points to 81.5%, while capacity, measured in available seat kilometres (ASKs), increased by 1.9%.
