Panic gripped the district courts complex and its surroundings when nine workers of Insaf Student Federation (ISF) resorted to indiscriminate firing on the car of MSF District Vice President Rai Abu Bakar Kharal. Due to the indiscriminate firing the car was badly damaged while the vandals allegedly abducted a worker of the MSF identified as Mehr Kamran.

The police have registered a case against nine workers of ISF including Malik Chand, Malik Zaibi, Najaf Shah, Waqas and others on the charge of vandalism and abduction.

According to police source, MSF Vice President Rai Abu Bakar Kharal along with his companions was returning from district court complex in his car (LEA-6534).

As soon as he reached the main gate the accused opened indiscriminate firing on the vehicle and also abducted one of the MSF workers namely Mehr Kamran.

Meanwhile, heavy police contingent rushed to the spot and chased the raiders and managed to arrest two of the accused including Najaf Shah and Waqas.

Further investigation is underway.

CONTRACT AWARDED: The Buildings Department awarded contract for the execution of 40 development schemes including up-gradation of primary and elementary schools worth millions of rupees to favourite contractors.

According to insiders, the favourite contractors of the department made pool in collusion with the officials of the department.

Local citizens have demanded cancellation of tenders and impartial inquiry in the award of the contracts.
