DSP Chaudhry Shafqat Atta  handed over Rs 2.5 million cash and keys of snatched tractor and two motorbikes to 15 complainants of dacoity, robbery and motorbike snatching cases at a ceremony which was held at City Police Station here.

Police Inspector Ghulam Mohiuddin, Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran President Mian Muhammad Younas and notables of the city attended the ceremony.

Addressing the participants of the ceremony, the DSP said that on the directives of DPO Sarfraz Ahmed Falki, he had constituted a two members team comprising Inspector Mohiuddin Gujjar and ASI Manzoor Kharal which smashed two inter-district - Baga Kharal and Zawar Hussein alias Nut gangs of dacoits.

The police recovered Rs2.5 million and two snatched motor bikes and one tractor besides heavy ammunition from them.

He said that the police rounded up motorbike lifters gang ringleader Zawar Hussain and two members of the gang included Kabir and Taj Mohammedd alias Taji Shehzad who had stolen a large number of motorbikes from the city and sold it one Rasool Bakhsh, resident of Rajanpur.

The DSP said that a police party was being sent to Rajanpur for the arrest of Rasool Bakhsh and his accomplices.

The DSP said that two members of gangsters of Baga Kharal gang namely Abdul Rehman Macchi and Imran alias Mani gone underground in Karachi and the police were searching them.  Later, the DSP along with Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran President and National Press Union President handed over cash and keys of motorbikes and tractor among 15owners.
