ISLAMABAD - Supreme Court judge Mushir Alam said on Saturday that just attitude was a prerequisite for doing justice as justice begins at home.
He said this while speaking at a certificate awarding ceremony held at the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) at the conclusion of a one-week training course on “Management of Sessions Trial and Appreciation of Evidence”.
He said that the FJA has been playing a critical role in providing sound professional skills to judicial officers and others regarding justice and that the contribution it makes for the promotion of professionalism amongst them was admirable.
The judge further said: “Lie has no legs, we must tell the truth and promote truth-telling in our society. Truth always prevails. We must have truth-telling to have justice in the society.”
“Justice begins at home. If we are just and fair in our attitudes only then we can do justice to others, be it our family members, friends, subordinates or society,” remarked Justice Mushir. Twenty-four Additional District and Sessions Judges and four officers of Judge Advocate General (JAG) Branch from Pakistan Air Force completed the weeklong training and were awarded certificates at the ceremony.
