NAB team formed to probe Sharifs’ assets

SARGODHA-An eight-member team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been constituted to investigate the Sharif family’s assets in Sargodha district. The NAB team has started probing the shifting of Sharif family’s sugar mills from Shahpur, Sargodha to Muzaffargarh a year ago while Khizerabad Farm details and ablaze incident of revenue record in 1936 during the holidays of Eidul Fitr. The team got the record of National Industrial Park to probe the alleged irregularities which had been established in former chief minister Pervaiz Elahi’s tenure.Meanwhile, as the presence of fake students has been revealed in University of Sargodha, the police held four accused involved in making videos of female students. According to sources, the Sajjid Shaheed police arrested four fake students identified as Adnan, Azhar, Asif and Asfand. During preliminary interrogation, the police have recovered obscene films of female students on their mobile phones. The police have lodged an FIR against the culprits on the statement of the university’s security incharge. The police enlarged the circle of investigation and further arrests are expected in this connection. The police said that the accused impersonated themselves as university students and entered the campus. SUMMON: District and Sessions Judge Malik Khizar Hayat Khan has summoned Tariq Hafeez, the MD of a medicine distribution enterprise, along with its quality control manager and sales officer for November 22. The honorable court released orders over submission of a case by complainant Riazul Haq who contends that a vial purchased by him found allegedly empty and there was not any medicine it. He added that the said vial was purchased from the bulk store of that medicine distribution company. The complainant also provided invoice and other evidence for the court.Greenery to be ruined for bus projectGreenery has been put in danger for Green Metro Bus Service project in Sargodha as the government has sought PC-1 (Project Charter) to commence the work. All the trees will be wiped out to clear the route for Metro Green Bus plan. Punjab Chief Minister will possibly lay the foundation stone of the project on March 23, 2018. He directed the chief secretary and other secretaries to survey the link roads for initiation of the proposed project. He also sought early dispatch of estimate of expanses and PC-1 design after joint consideration. In this connection, Provincial Secretary Forest Punjab Waheedul Din has been asked to survey divisional and district level roads. He directed them to maintain trees on that roads and official area situated on the way of Metro Green Bus route along with the coordination of Chief Conservator of Forest Ejaz Sherazi, conservator Sargodha region and all the four district forest officers so that after approval the auction of that trees will be conducted to clear Metro route by cutting down of green trees. Furthermore, the Punjab government also ordered the Revenue Department to prepare report about electricity poles and cables which can be hampered in construction work. According to sources, the auction proceeding of thousands of green and dry trees valued in billions of rupees. On the other hand, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) claimed about the plantation of more than one million plants on the road banks and other areas in the city and its suburban areas.
