MIRPURKHAS - Lady teachers and schoolgirls held a demonstration here at the premises of Government Girls Primary School Wahdat Colony on Saturday to protest against the threats allegedly hurled by suspended headmistress Perveen Shad, Taluka Education Officer (TEO) female Shabbir Ahmed Gujjar, Additional Director Education Ghaffar Rajput and the deputy commissioner at them.

Led by teachers, Shahina Leghari, Rizwana Yasmeen and others, the protesters, including schoolgirls, raised slogans against the headmistress, TEO and others.

Talking to media persons on the occasion, Shahina Leghari, Rizwana Yasmeen and others said that their headmistress and the TEO Shabbir Gujjar, were involved in harassing them, and issuing threats of dire consequences, and forcing them to sign the papers which would be used to defame the DEO primary Mirpurkhas Dr Syed Wajid Ali Shah.

They alleged that armed attack was carried out on DEO primary at the behest of deputy commissioner, who was supporting the corrupt TEOs. It is reminded here that the DEO was brutally beaten up while his staff was also beaten up by dozens of private persons, TEO Shabbir Gujjar, Perveen Shad and others some days back. They expressed that above DEO was innocent and baseless and false allegations were leveled upon him.

They accused that there were gross irregularities in the official records of various lady teachers who were closed to the TEOs. They said that total eight teachers were made target of victimization by their suspended headmistress and TEO Shabbir Gujjar. They demanded the Sindh chief minister, secretary education, provincial minister for education and other authorities to take immediate notice of the matter, replace their headmistress, corrupt TEO Shabbir Gujjar, Additional Director Education Ghaffar Rajput and deputy commissioner Mirpurkhas.
