Kite-flying goes unchecked in Lahore despite the ban due to which, a youth was critically injured by a metallic kite string on Monday.
The police and district administration have failed to implement the ban on kite flying and kites hovering in sky in different areas of Lahore were seen from morning till evening.
A youth identified as Dilawar Ali was critically injured and hospitalized after metallic kite string slit his throat near Kahna stop No 5. Earlier, 11-year-old Zain was seriously injured after he fell down the roof top of his house located at Kacha Shahzada Road, Lahore while flying kite.
The citizens expressed their anguish over the failure of the police and administration to properly implement the ban on kite flying. They demanded the authorities to ensure implementation of the ban and take strict action against kite flyers.
