Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan on Monday told the President of the AJK Sardar Masood Khan that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in the coming years would deepen and expand its contributions and services in Azad Kashmir.
He expressed these views in a meeting the Sardar Masood Khan, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir who paid a visit to the Pakistan Air Force Headquarters today.
On his arrival at the PAF Headquarter, the AJK president was presented a guard of honour. Pakistan's national anthem was played which was followed by the inspection of the guard of honour by the president and laying of a floral wreath at the PAF Martyrs Monument.
Subsequently, the chief of air staff introduced the Sardar Masood Khan to the top brass of the PAF at the headquarters.
During the meeting, he briefed the PAF chief about Azad Kashmir’s priorities towards intensifying diplomatic and political efforts for the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, promotion of good governance and fast-paced economic development in the Azad territory.
He also complimented the PAF’s spectacular performance in the professional fields and for developing impressive technological platforms.
"From Azad Kashmir, many officers, airmen and civilian staff have proudly joined Pakistan Air Force to serve the nation," he told.
Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan highlighted the resolve of the nation for the realisation of the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, expressed support for AJK’s efforts for socio-economic development.
