LAHORE - Imamia Students Organisation (ISO) staged a protest demonstration against the US intervention in Pakistan. They were holding banners and placards in the demonstration outside the Lahore Press Club (LPC). Meanwhile, Pakistan Bachao Party also staged a protest demonstration against America. They were led by Makhdoom Mohammad Duryab Yousaf Hashmi. They extended all out support to Pakistan Armed forces in their operation in South Waziristan. Hizbe-e-Tahrir also staged a protest demonstration on the scheduled visit of American Senator John Kerry and arrest of Hizbs activists. They were holding posters and banners carrying slogans against America. Yet another protest demonstration and creation of bon fire at Government MAO College Chowk against the local police for harbouring criminals involved in a double murder case in the Sanda Police Station area. The traffic remained blocked for two hours at Lower Mall and Multan Road. Pakistan Zindabad Rally Punjab University Student Teacher Centre (STC) will organise Pakistan Zindabad Rally on Tuesday, October 20 at 9:30am for the unity, integrity and solidarity of Pakistan. Vice-Chancellor PU Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran will lead the rally, which will start from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and will conclude at Institute of Education & Research (IER). A large number of teachers, students and employees of the varsity will participate in the rally. Eid Milan party Chairperson Punjab University Model High School for Girls Management Committee Prof Dr Samar Fatima has said that the education standard of the school would be improved and special focus would be given on students training along with providing quality education. She was addressing the Eid Milan Party at the school here at New Campus. Secretary school management committee Dr Aurang Zeb told the teachers that the present administration had been trying to provide such service structure so that all your problems could be solved and you could fully focus on your duties. School Principal Salma Parveen thanked the vice-chancellor and said she hoped that the VC would solve all problems of teachers through this committee and provide special funds for staff room, day care centre and two classrooms.
