KARACHI - The Chief Minster of Sindh and other PPP leaders paid rich tributes to the martyrs of 'Karsaz bomb blast, who sacrificed for their party leader Benazir Bhutto during her homecoming convoy on October 18 2007. On the second anniversary of the 'Karsaz bomb blast, 'Quran Khawani (recitation of Quran) was arranged at Chief Minister House Karachi, Bilawal House Karachi and Peoples Secretariat. The central leaders as well as workers of the party also attended the ceremony. On the occasion, CM said that history was unable to present such unique example of struggle and sacrifice, which the committed workers of PPP workers performed for the supremacy of democracy. He also paid salute to great workers who without caring to their lives stood firm and steadfast to save their great leader. He said that it was the result of the PPP struggle, which compelled the dictator to flee from the President House. He maintained that despite threat to her life, Benazir Shaheed came back to county, as she wanted to serve the people of Pakistan in real sense. He claimed that present PPP government was trying to serve the people, while we have fulfilled the dreams of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to great extent. He also praised the efforts of Pak army and said that all the people of country are accompanied with government in war against terror. CM Sindh also promised to take care of the heirs of 18th October 2007 martyrs. Deputy Secretary General of PPP and Senator Mian Raza Rabani said that PPP had neither bowed its head before any dictator nor it would surrender before imperial aims of neo-colonialist powers; rather it will carry on its fight for the supremacy of democracy in the country. Mr. Razabani claimed that international forces and cronies of Musharraf were still active in hatching conspiracies against the PPP. He vowed to that PPP would follow the political philosophy of Shaheed Zulfiqar and Shaheed Banazir Bhutto to save the democracy and constitution of Pakistan. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro Speaker Sindh Assembly, PPP Information Secretary Fouzia Wahab, former Governor Kamal Azfar, Aftab Shoban Mirani, Pir Mazhar Ul Haq, Agha Siraj Durani, Muhammad Ayaz Soomor, Sharmeela Farooqui, Najmi Alam, Saeed Ghani and others also spoke on this occasion.
