ISLAMABAD (Online) - Gen David Petraeus, Chief of US Central Command (Cent-com), on Sunday arrived in Islamabad Sunday on an emergency visit to hold talks with government officials on host of bilateral issues. Sources say he will meet President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and other officials during his short but important stay in the federal capital. Gen Petraeus will discuss bilateral ties, with special focus on war against terror, Swat situation, SWA Operation and the latest overall situation in Pakistan, to take the political and military leadership into confidence on new policies of the US administration. Sources further say he is also expected discuss matters pertaining to provision of new equipment to Pakistan.
