ISLAMABAD (APP) - A good number of families from different parts of the country are daily visiting various resorts of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The resorts including Rawal Lake View Park and Pakistan Monument have become the source of attraction for such visitors. Rawal Lake Park, which was inaugurated last year, has all the necessary modern facilities for the visitors. The park has a panoramic view of Rawal Dam and it also has a lush green playground for the children. The folk musicians sitting in the park play different tunes representing the folk music of the country to enthral the visitors. The cooking and barbecue facility is also available at the park. Mostly families visit the park on weekend to enjoy the holiday at the newly developed park. A visitor, Jan Muhammad, said he stayed most of his time abroad and Rawal Lake View Park had been developed as per international standard. He said the park had all the facilities for enjoyment of the visitors. He said the local administration should develop some other places like this park for providing healthy recreational facilities to the people. Pakistan Monument is another place of attraction for visitors where hundreds of the residents visit daily and view the beautiful and green land of the federal capital. A visitor, Asia Sharif, said the Monument was very attractive, as it had been designed beautifully. She lauded the civic body for construction of such attractive picnic spots at different places saying, the Federal Capital has several splendid places like Rawal Lake View Park and Pakistan Monument. Daman-i-Koh is another beautiful spot having attraction for the tourists. A resident Ali Khan said he always preferred Daman-e-Koh to see the nice view of Islamabad city and for the tasty food as well. A lot of people visit Pir Sohawa especially on weekends. The other picnic resorts in the federal capital include Shahdara, Shakarparian, Jasmine and Rose Garden, Capital Zoo, Children Park, Fatima Jinnah Park, and Margalla Hills jogging tracks.
