ISLAMABAD Director Operation Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), Wing. Cmdr (Retd) Pervaiz Saeed Mir, said here Monday that all teams in the Pakistan Premier Football League must hire AFC qualified coaches. It has came to the notice of the PFF that some participating teams are not playing with the true spirit of the rules and regulations and the federation will not bear anything against the spirit of game, he said in a statement on Monday. The federation has ordered all the 16 participants of Pakistan Premier Football League that only FIFA/AFC qualified coaches will be allowed to sit on teams bench as a coach, assistant coach or goalkeeper coach, he viewed. The Clause No. 9 (a) titling Team Bench and Technical Area and 23 titling Principles for Registration of Officials of PPFL 2010 - Technical Regulations, says only FIFA/AFC qualified coaches would be allowed to sit on team benches as coach and assistant coach. It is surprising to note that some team benches are without any qualified coach and teams are playing without coach. Teams have been informed that without qualified coach they would not be allowed to take part in the event. Disciplinary action will be taken against the default team, said Mir. It is penitent to mention here that the PPFL commenced from September 16 and will run till December 28. KRL, KPT, Army, WAPDA, NBP, PIA, Navy, KESC, HBL, Chamans Afghan Club, PMC Athletico Club Faisalabad, Lahores PEL, Nushkis Baloch FC, PAF, Sui Southern Gas Company and Sahiwals Young Blood Football Club are participating in the event.
