Germany Chancellor Angela Merkel fresh statement that “breathtaking” flow of migrants into Germany will “occupy and change” the country in the coming years, has recalled me some EU leaders comments during unrest in Tunisia. When Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali, the then, Tunis president, fled from the country. Their reaction and comments on the turmoil in Tunis were astonishing. They were heard saying that they were unaware of the ground reality of Tunis while doing daily business with this country for long. Once again, The EU leader’s reaction to the migrant’s influx into their countries shows the level of their ignorance of the miseries of masses of countries they are engaged in everyday business. The EU leaders never played their assigned role to solve the ever- growing humanitarian crisis in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. Now they have to pay more for the Frankenstein situation knocking up at their corridors. It is right timing that the indifferent EU leaders must keep themselves abreast of the needs of the countries where they are granted entry without having a valid visa.
