Rawalpindi-Tourist information centres are the face of Pakistan’s tourism industry and they will be uplifted.
This was said by Managing Director PTDC Ch Abdul Ghafoor Khan while visiting PTDC’s Tourist Information Centre at BB Airport Islamabad.
He said that a modern and attractive corporate look should be given to the tourist information centre at BBI Airport, and directed that proper duty schedule may be observed to assist the foreign and domestic tourists with correct and updated information. Efforts are under way to set up new TICs at other airports also, the MD PTDC vowed. He said that the visiting tourist may also be provided with the facility of hotel and transport booking upon arrival at the airport.
He said that PTDC is in process of development of centralized booking and reservation system for all PTDC facilities spread throughout Pakistan. He directed all the officer and staff that all tourists visiting TICs may be entertained according to their need and comfort. He said that all the 14 PTDC tourist information centres located all over Pakistan will be upgraded and government has assured its full support in this regard.
