Two students killed in car crash

LAHORE - Two young boys died while a girl wounded critically when their car smashed into an electric pole in Nawab Town police area.

An eyewitness told the police that the accident occluded because of speeding. Police said that the young driver tried to save a buffalo in the middle of a road when he lost his control over the vehicle that crashed into a roadside pole.

As a result, both the boys identified as Saad Khan, 20, Mughees Khan, 22, died on the spot. The girl identified as Uzma Gill was rushed to a hospital where her condition was said to be very serious.

All the three friends were the students of University of Lahore. They were going back home when the road mishap took place.

WOMAN DIES AS TRAILER HIT BIKE

A 20-year-old woman died while her husband and cousin wounded critically when a trailer bumped into their motorcycle on the Multan Road. The road mishap took place in Chuhng police area yesterday evening.

The deceased was identified by police as Shahida Bibi. Her husband Nisar Akbar and cousin Razia Bibi were rushed to a hospital with multiple injuries. They were resident of Pattoki, police said.

Nisar riding on a motorcycle along with his wife and cousin, was going back home when a trailer smashed into their two-wheeler. The police also reached the spot and arrested the trailer driver. Further investigation was underway.
