Pak-Afghan border to remain closed for two days

Pakistan has decided to keep friendship gates on Pak-Afghan border crossing points at Chaman and Torkham closed for Friday and Saturday.

A statement issued by the Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said that the crossing points have been closed on Afghanistan's government request.

The spokesperson said the decision has been taken to support the smooth conduct of upcoming Parliamentary elections in Afghanistan.

Dr Muhammad Faisal said both the crossing points will remain closed for all kinds of traffic except emergency cases.
