ISLAMABAD - Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar has taken suo moto action on complaint filed by a mother whose son was first abducted by some influential people and was later implicated in a cattle theft case. According to the complaint lodged with the CJP by Najma Bibi, her young son was allegedly abducted by Zaheer and others from Kotli Sattian in Rawalpindi and was kept in illegal custody for 15 days before being released by abductors. Later on, the kidnapped boy was implicated by in a case relating to cattle theft. This all happened amid efforts by the complainant to lodge a kidnapping case against the influential kidnappers. However, all her efforts went in vein. The complainant has further informed that the CJP that accused Zaheer in connivance with a local Nazim and area police pressurised her to reach compromise with accused party instead of agitating her grievance. On refusing the demand, the accused party also extended her life threats, the complainant has further revealed. Taking suo motu notice of the grievance, Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar directed the Punjab Police Chief Shaukat Javed to submit report within fortnight.
