LAHORE Iran outclassed Pakistan by 3-0 in the first encounter of the ongoing third Asian Mens Volleyball Championship (Central Zone) here at Indian City Kolkata, reports received here said. Iran were able to wrap up the win in straight sets, 25-20, 25-21 and 25-21 as Pakistan, led by Zaheer Abbas, struggled to make an impact in the match. Pakistans participation in the tournament was in doubt until Tuesday, when they received last-minute visa clearance from India. The four-nation tournament, which also includes Kazakhstan and hosts India, is being played in Kolkata from September 16 to 20. Pakistan will play Kazakhstan in their second match.
