Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told American television on Sunday that Western sanctions over Tehran's nuclear program were having no effect on his country. "These sanctions will definitively mark a new level of progress in our economy," Ahmadinejad told ABC News in an interview in New York. "We have turned sanctions around and created opportunities out of it." Asked what effect the sanctions were having on his economy, the Iranian leader then stated: "I tell you there are none."
