MIRPUR (AJK) - The AJK government has constituted an accountability committee to review the existing legislation primarily aimed at introducing reforms to ensure accountability across the board in letter and spirit, it was officially announced. AJK Finance Minister Ch Latif Akbar will head the aforesaid committee and will submit a report with recommendations, Syed Bazal Ali Naqvi, Minister for Information AJK revealed this in a post-cabinet meeting held in Muzaffarabad with AJK Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed in the chair. Unveiling the decision taken in the cabinet meeting, the AJK Information minister told this scribe, The cabinet decided to implement the decision of the Apex court in its true spirit regarding the qualification of the members and candidates. He told that very significant decision was taken regarding the medical colleges at Muzaffarabad and Mirpur and principals in the said colleges will be appointed soon so that classes could be started at the earliest. It has been decided that to cope with the devastation in Sindh, caused by the recent floods the government and masses of AJK, on appeal of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, will contribute and would put all their efforts to reduce the troubles of their Pakistan brethren, he said. AJK Premier Ch Abdul Majeed will contribute Rs25 million to flood relief fund whereas one day salary of all employees including police is also being given to the fund.
