OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Provincial Secretary Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Dr Allah Baksh Malik has been invited to participate in the Confucius Prize Awarding Ceremony to be held in Qufu city of Shandong province in China from September 27 to 28 this month. The invitation is extended by Chinese National Commission for UNESCO (NATOM) to Malik who is a recipient of UNs most coveted Confucius Award, 2011 for his dedicated work in the field of education in Pakistan. The NATCOM has also congratulated Allah Bakhsh for winning the Confucius Award named after great Chinese thinker and social philosopher. Dr Allah Bakhsh is a DMG officer of 13th Common batch of the civil service of Pakistan who has been associated with the education sector for the last one decade. He has designed and implemented many useful educational models like education voucher scheme of the Punjab Education Foundation to give free education to the poor students who cannot afford school dues. Dr Allah Bakhsh is PhD in Development Economics and has also authored 12 books besides contributing numerous articles in international journals.
