KPT hold Muslim FC in Premier League

Our staff reporter KARACHI - Muslim Football Club Chaman wasted two early goal lead conceding the equalizer late in the contest to play a two all draw against host KPT here Sunday at the KPT Stadium in Pakistan Premier Football League. In another match of the day PIA beat Baloch FC 2-0 to collect full points. The Muslim FC rocked a much stronger opponent shortly after kick-off when it scored two goals in a span of one minute with the fixture entering 6th minute. They retained that advantage for a long time as KPT sweated to get the equalizer. However their hard work paid off in 59th and 74th minute and a much relieved host ended the match at two all draw. Physical fitness of the Muslim FC and constant pressure from a much fitter KPT finally decided the final score line of an interesting contest. Haji Muhammad found the net in 6th minute and Saeed Ahmed added another in 7th minute. The shell shocked KPT were staggered with the onslaught and took some time to recover from two goal deficit. The port men gathered courage and did not allow any other breach in their defence. They fought well and put the opponents on the defensive but struggled to make a clear shot at the Muslim FC goal. It was late in the second session when a tiring Muslim FC provided them the chance to clinch first goal which came through Zafar Majeed in 59th minute and to great relief of the team management KPT found the match equalizer when Idris netted in 74th minute. PIA could not make impression on the scoreboard until 51st minute when they took the lead against Baloch FC. Shakir Lashari sneaked past a tight defence to score the first airlines goal. Rizwan made it 2-0.
