KARACHI The Pakistan Parkinsons Society (PPS) and the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) joined hands to host a monthly Parkinsons Support Group with the objective of promoting wellness and a better quality of life to People with Parkinsons Disease and their Care Givers, says a press release. The first Support Group met recently at the Aga Khan Hospital Sports and Rehabilitation Centre. Speakers included, Dr Mughis Sherani, a leading Neurologist at the AKUH and Mr. Haroon Basheer, Chairman- PPS. The AKUH also introduced the Parkinsons Rehabilitation Program, aimed at helping patients to become more independent and improving their quality of life.
