Pak-India parliamentary talks today

ISLAMABAD - The 5th Round of the Pakistan-India Parliamentary Dialogue will commence here today (Thu). Senator Nayyer Hussain Bokhari, Chairman Senate of Pakistan, will inaugurate the 2-day Pakistan-India Parliamentarians’ Dialogue facilitated by PILDAT while PM Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz will be the host.
Former Union Minister and Member of Indian Rajya Sabha Mani Shankar Aiyar will head the India delegation while Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Defence, Syed Naveed Qamar, MNA, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, MNA and Zahid Hamid, MNA, will officiate the dialogue from the Pakistan side.  A 13-member delegation of Indian MPs who will join their Pakistani counterparts at the 2-day Dialogue includes Rajya Sabha members Mani Shankar Aiyar (INC); K.C. Tyagi (JD-U); D. P. Tripathy (NCP); Anu Aga (Ind.); Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel (BSP); Ram Kirpal Yadav (RJD); C.P. Narayanan (CPI); Baishnab Parida (BJD); Birendra Prasad Baishya (AGP); Mohammad Adeeb (Ind.); Dr T.N. Seema (CPI-M) and Lok Sabha Members Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM) and Kirti Azad (BJP).
Dialogue series among Parliamentarians of Pakistan and India is aimed at facilitating a structured discussion among MPs from the two countries on issues of mutual interest and concern that impact the relationship between the two countries.
