GUJRANWALA-What is being described as reaction to the PML-N Danda force, the PTI on Sunday took a rally with a large number of women holding bats and batons, chanting slogans against ‘Gullu Butts.’

The participated by hundreds of PTI workers and activists, majority of them women, the rally pledged to reach Raiwind all costs by defying all odds. Carrying bats and batons, the participants chanting slogans against the corrupt rulers, saying that they would foil any attempt by Gullu Butts to create hurdles in the way of Raiwind march.

Addressing the protesters, PTI women wing leader Shaheen Raza said that they are not afraid of ‘Gullu Butts’ and would participate in Raiwand March at all costs. “If anyone try to disturb our peaceful march, the PTI workers will pay them back in the same coins,” she warned. Shaheen Raza declared that the PTI would continue its mission to expose corruption and corrupt elements. “Our struggle under the leadership of Imran Khan will continue till the elimination of corrupt system from the country,” she reiterated her party pledge.

JOURNALISTS PROTEST TODAY

The journalists community will hold a protest rally on Monday (today) against Okara police for registration of fake cases against Daily Nawa-i-Waqt reporter Hafiz Hasnain Raza. Besides journalists from across the district, leaders and workers of social, political and civil society organisations will participate in the protest rally.

ENTRY OF 44 CLERICS BANNED

FOR MUHARRAM

The district administration has banned the entry of 33 Ulema and Zakirs from different sects and also issued gagging orders for 11 others to maintain peace in the upcoming holy month of Muharramul Harram.

Gujranwala DCO Muhammad Amir Jaan issued the orders which read that it will be effective for three months starting from 1st Muharram to 29th Rabiul Awwal.

Moreover, the 11 Ulema and Zakirs could not deliver speeches at religious gatherings, including majalis and processions across the district to avoid provocation and maintain sectarian harmony.
