LAHORE - The city remained in the grip of muggy weather yesterday, with experts predicting the prevailing harsh conditions to persist during the next 2-3 days.

Lack of rains and winds and abundance of sunshine caused considerable increase in the mercury level with high humidity making the weather muggy, causing Lahorites to sweat profusely throughout the day.

Frequent tripping and unscheduled loadshedding added to the woes of heat stricken people. Maximum and minimum temperature was recorded 37 degree Celsius and 26C respectively. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 60 percent.

According to experts, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. Meteorological department has forecast mainly hot and dry weather for most parts of the country including Lahore during the next 2-3 days.
