Islamabad - National Book Foundation’s Shehr-e-Kitab has became literary and cultural hub where the book lovers may have books of their own choice at subsidised rates. The Shehr-e-Kitab Islamabad consists of 28 outlets. The management of NBF has introduced its Shehr-e-Kitab as a substitute literary point or Tea House for the visitors where stationery items are also available under one roof.

Shehr-e-Kitab also has the facility of Photostat. The `Shehr-e-Kitab’ Islamabad consists of 28 outlets (shops) including National Book Foundation, Mr. Books, Jahangir Books, Kitab Ghar, Idara-e-Ilm-o-Irfan, Al-Faisal Publishers, Book Finders, Old Book Corner, Book Man, Readers Point, Rabia Book House, Ilmi Book Depot, Book Valley and others.

Chairman National Book Foundation Prof. Dr Inam ul Haq Javeid said that literary ceremonies and visits of students from universities, colleges, schools and cultural departments have started. “We are also forwarding to establish `Shehr-e-Kitab’ at Karachi and Peshawar which was announced by the Advisor to PM Irfan Siddiqui while inaugurating `Shehr-e-Kitab’ at Jinnah Super Market,” he added.
