Aleem directs to recover occupied land of Forest Dept

Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Wednesday has directed to launch a grand operation to recover the occupied land of Forest Department in the province.

He was chairing a high-level departmental meeting in Lahore on Wednesday, which was also attended by Forest Minister Sibtain Khan.

During the meeting, the senior minister has briefed that more than 7,000 acres of Forest Department's land is under illegal occupation in the province.

The senior minister directed to do maximum plantation in connection with the PTI's first 100 days agenda.

He also directed to do concrete planning to extend the area of forests in the province as the present forest land ratio of 3.1 is very concerning.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to see Pakistan a greener country. "We should do our level best to achieve this goal", he added.
