LAHORE: The spokesperson of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday termed Shibli Faraz's statement regarding Shehbaz Sharif's watch price “ridiculous”.
"It’s plain ridiculous. Shehbaz Sharif is wearing the watch given to him by his late father, great Mian Muhammad Sharif," said Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan.
"The watch was bought by the elder Sharif during his visit to Germany in the ‘70s. At that time, it was worth Rs 2000,” he said, adding that Shehbaz Sharif has been wearing this watch for the last 50 years because of his devotion to his late father.
“There is a limit to lying. You (Shibli Faraz) are related to a well-known personality (Ahmed Faraz). Such kind of slanders do not suit you,” Khan said.
