KARACHI - At the MQMs 'Ulema and Mashaikh Convention, hundreds of religious scholars and custodians of shrines of Muslim saints rejected the Taliban brand Shariah on Sunday. Suicide attacks and murder of any person on the basis of sectarian differences is forbidden in Islam, unanimously adopted resolution issued at the end of the convention declared. The resolution also turned down attacks and suicide attacks on mosques, Imam Bargahs and shrines of saints because of the sectarian differences. The religious scholars belonging Sunnis, Deobandis and Shia schools of thought and Salafists agreed with these declarations. Many of them also announced their support to the MQMs stand against the Nizam-e-Adl in Swat. The Shariah introduced by Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), the last prophet of Allah, is complete and enough for us and we dont need Nizam-e-Adl of a handful of people, said another resolution adopted by the Ulema Convention. Hamza Ali Qadri, Makhdoom Nafees ur Rehman of Uch Sharif, Maulana Ehteram-ul-Haq Thanvi, Maulana Tanveer ul Haq Thanvi, Mufti Mohammad Naeem, Maulana Asad, Saeed Qamar Qasmi, Allama Abbas Kumali, Mirza Yousuf Hussain, Maulana Shahriar Abedi, Maulana Nazir Taqvi, Allama Abbas Kumaili, Amir Abdullah Farooqi and Dr Abdul Khaliq Pirzada also the convention. For God sake, bury your petty differences and join hands against Talibanisation, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain urged the people in his telephonic address from London. He asked them to come forward against the Ulema-e-Soo and inform the people about the ongoing brutal acts of Taliban. He alleged that Taliban wanted to destroy the tombs of revered saints in Punjab and Sindh like they did with the shrine of Rehman Baba in the NWFP province. He said that Taliban had no right to destroy these respectable places. They have killed more than 23 Sufi and Pir such as Pir Samiullah, Pir Sharifullah and Iftekhar Habibi due to the difference of ideology in Malakand, he said. He has said that some negative elements interpret the Holy Quran in a way that is not acceptable to recognised schools of Islamic thought. The Convention has been organised to discuss the problems faced by the oppressed people of the country, MQM Chief said adding that party wanted to get guidance and opinion of the Ulema to defeat Talibanisation. Ulema and Mashaikh should make it public that suicide bombings in the mosques and Imam Bargahs is not right, he urged. I am Muslim and MQM is not against the Islamic Shariah but I want to make it clear that MQM is against the tribal Shariah of Taliban, he asserted. Neither the first four Muslims Caliphs nor any Imam taught us about the oppression that Taliban acted upon, he said. He said that enforcement of the NAR was just beginning g of Talibanization in the country and they did it on gunpoint. He further asked that it was high time to choose one of both, Pakistan or Taliban. MQM Chief cited Sufi Mohammads speech in which he said that only black turban was allowed in Islam and that the Supreme Court and High Courts in Pakistan are also un-Islamic courts and that the democracy is also an un-Islamic system of governance. . Everybody will take the permission from Taliban before marriage or divorce, he quoted Sufi Mohammad. Maulana Hamza Ali Qadri, Makhdoon Naees-ur-Rehman, Allama Abbas Kumali, Maulana Tanveer-ul-Haq Thanvi, Allama Khizr-ul-Islam and others in their address denounced the newly introduced Shariah of Taliban. They announced their support to the MQM chief Altaf Hussain on his stance against the Nizam-e-Adal regulation and conspiracy of Talibanization in the country. They said that they have not need the Shariah of any person because the Shariah of last apostle of Allah, Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH),is complete and adequate for us.
