An airport spokeswoman says a plane has been hijacked while on the tarmac near Jamaica's resort city of Montego Bay. Spokeswoman Elizabeth Scotton says there have been no injuries and no passengers are aboard the Boeing 737 at Montego Bay's Sangster International airport. She says the situation is ongoing. Ms. Scotton says she cannot confirm reports that a gunman is holding members of the crew hostage on the plane. CNN reported that seven people are being held hostage. Ms. Scotton says the situation began around 10 pm local time on Sunday and the Canjet flight destined for Halifax, Canada, never took off from the airport.
