SHEIKHUPURA - B Division Police have registered a case against 12 persons for allegedly thrashing a shopkeeper and throwing acid on his face. The sources said that as many as 12 outlaws namely Shahid Toor, Talat Toor, Rana Asad and some unidentified armed men entered the shop of Irfan Jamil in Iman Chowk and started beating him over a rickshaw stand issue. They also threw acid on his face. As a result, he received severe burn injuries. Meanwhile, police failed to trace the criminals, however, SHO Manzoor Ahmed had arrested one accused Talat who was later, got released by an influential. It is worth mentioning that there are dozen of illegal rickshaw stands in various parts of the district but the administration failed to check the situation. When contacted RT Secretary Irfan Baig said that illegal stands would be eliminated after wheat procurement process. STRANGLED TO DEATH Some outlaws have strangled to death a man in Janatpura village and threw his body in fields. Police sources said that Iftikhar Ahmed was a truck driver in a multinational oil company and, the other day, he was on way, when the criminals shot him dead. Police have registered a case against unknown killers on the report deceaseds father Muhammad Rafique. VALUABLES LOOTED Dacoits have taken away car, motorbike and a generator in three different robbery incidents. In first incident, the bandits drove away the car of Nazir Hussain in village Joyianwala Morr. Meanwhile, the robbers took away motorbike of Imran while in village Waan, the outlaws looted oil generator of a multinational mobile company. Police concerned have registered separate cases and started investigation.
