LAHORE - Information Secretary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Omar Safaraz Cheema has expressed sorrow and grief over the death of Younis Masih in Toba Tek Singh and demanded judicial inquiry into the causes of his death. Talking to a delegation of party workers from Faisalabad, he said long-hours loadshedding had brought to a halt all business activity in Toba Tek Singh. Younis Masih defaulted on the loan from Khushali Bank, which confiscated his welding machine. Traumatized by this, Younis suffered cardiac arrest and expired. Omar Cheema said rampant loadshedding had throttled all economic activity and instances of people dying of starvation are becoming common. He sought immediate judicial intervention to write off loans of small entrepreneurs. He said Younis Masih suffered death because of only Rs 17,000.
