LAHORE – The banned outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir has issued a letter of clarification in which they have challenged some facts of a report headlined, “19 Hizb-ut-Tahrir men booked under sedition laws, jailed,” published in The Nation’s issue of April 14, 2012.
The only valid point in the clarification is that the Lahore High Court (LHC) never rejected accused bail-petition. The actual fact is that their bail was rejected by Mr Asif Majeed Awan, Special Judge Anti-Terrorist Court Lahore on April 2, 2012. The error is regretted– Ed.
