QUETTA – PTI Chairman Imran Khan will address a public meeting in the provincial capital today (Friday).According to PTI sources, Javed Hashmi, Dr Arif Alvi, Azam Swati and other leaders would also address the gathering. All the arrangements have been finalised. However, the rain may hamper PTI’s efforts to gather a huge crowd.The venue has been changed from the football stadium of Nawab Nourz Sports Complex to the hockey stadium due to rain.The main roads of the city have been decorated with signboards, banners, posters of PTI leaders and flags.PTI leaders, including Azam Swati and Dr Arif Alvi, have been approaching different political, nationalist and religious parties for last couple of days to make the meeting a success.PTI Balochistan VP Humayun Barkwal said many tribesmen would attend the meeting.However, sources said the key parties in Balochistan would stay away from the gathering.Personnel of law enforcement agencies will be deployed to maintain security for the gathering. PTI Information Secretary Shafqat Mehmood met the Balochistan chief secretary and Quetta commissioner to discuss security arrangements.PTI senior leader Javed Hashmi has reached Quetta while Imran Khan and others would reach on Friday.
