Seminar on prevention of fraudulent practices


LAHORE - NAB Punjab organised a seminar on “Prevention of Fraudulent Practices in Banking Sector” on Thursday, where speakers dilated upon different areas of collaboration which may prove helpful in curbing corruption from this important sector of the economy.
The seminar was attended by senior management from banking sector, development financial institutions, academia and professionals of relevant field along with officers of NAB Punjab.
Addressing the seminar Idrees Qamar highlighted the grey areas causing fraudulent banking practices and wilful default. He proposed some practical steps to improve working and minimizing corrupt practices in banking sector.
Director Public Policy and Regulation, Irfan Ali Syed took detailed account of compliance of prudential regulations and asserted strict implementation for the improvement of the working of banks and other financial institutions.
Ijaz Ahmed, Director FCIW, NAB Punjab emphasised more cooperation between NAB & Banks for eradication of financial crimes and securing public money.
At the end the Director IW-I, NAB Capt. (R) Shamsher Ali, Punjab paid high gratitude to guest speakers and other participants for taking keen interest in the deliberation of seminar and gave away souvenirs to guests.
