Man run over by train

SIALKOT
The driver of a tractor-trolley was killed in its collision with Allama Iqbal Express at an unmanned railway crossing near village Ucha Pahaaran-Pasrur tehsil here on Sunday.
Muhammad Sajjad (35) was going to load sand from Nullah Dek. When he tried to cross the railway track near village Ucha Pahaaran, the Allama Iqbal Express train hit the tractor-trolley, killing him on the spot, and the trolley broke into several pieces, which spread along the railway track.
The deceased belonged to village Taqipur of Pasrur tehsil here. The engine of the train was badly damaged in the accident due to which it remained halted there for about six hours. The train was going to Lahore from Sialkot via Pasrur.
The local people kept the rail traffic blocked for several hours on main Sialkot-Pasrur Railway Track here against the accident. Officials of district administration of Sialkot and Pakistan Railways reached there and they negotiated with the protesters.
The officials assured them of legal action against the responsible persons and they dispersed peacefully. Police shifted the dead body to a local hospital for autopsy.
