ISLAMABAD- China and Pakistan today held delegation-level talks at the PM House, where President Xi Jinping admired government’s efforts, praising reforms initiated for Pakistan’s development.

Xi also admired PM Nawaz’s struggle against militancy. During talks, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif led the Pakistani side, while the Chinese side was led by President Xi Jinping.

Nawaz formally welcomed Xi Jinping on his first ever visit to Pakistan and wished strong ties in future.

The top leadership reviewed regional and international issues of mutual concern, including the security situation in Afghanistan and the Middle East.

Senior officials from both sides attended the meeting. The premier discussed the Pakistan-China economic corridor project. Chinese delegation repeated the importance of friendly ties for boosting business opportunities between the two countries.
